“Our Family” The Yellow Book
In the late ’80s my mother wrote a collection of family history & memories and created what became known as the “Yellow Book”. Because it is frequently lost, misplaced or otherwise unavailable. I scanned it and created a pdf file. Click on the image to view the book.
Building a Home in the Foothills
In 2003 we bought 10 acres of property in Nevada County. We found a picture of a home we liked in a magazine and began the design process. After coming up with a floor plan and elevation design we started the journey. We were so fortunate to find Mark Mansfield of Marksman Builders. Mark is a general contractor from Ophir California. He Interpreted our rudimentary plans and build a strong, safe and beautiful home. By April 2004 we were ready to move in. That was only the very beginning though. Between out buildings, landscaping and fire risk reduction we’re still at it. The nicest complement we get is the place looks like a park. That was the idea.
